The Moroccan Public Procurement Observatory (MPPO) participated in the third meeting of the Climate Unit of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, organized with the support of Expertise France and dedicated to strengthening the national framework for sustainable public procurement. 
This meeting, held on November 4, 2025, provided an opportunity for the MPPO to present major progress on the initiatives it is leading, particularly the preparation of the Green Purchasing Guide and the implementation of the annual reporting mechanism for sustainable public procurement.

The event featured interventions by experts from Lithuania and Expertise France, as well as contributions from members of the Moroccan Public Procurement Observatory.

The exchanges led to in-depth discussions on the application of best practices regarding the integration of ecological considerations into public purchasing. They also allowed for a better understanding of the regulations and tools made available to public buyers to support them in implementing more sustainable public contracts and adopting a more responsible public purchasing policy.

Through its participation and contributions, the OMCP reaffirms its strategic role in the modernization of public procurement, relying on reliable tools, harmonized frameworks, and data-driven governance.
